Accessibility and overnight



The city center of Sneek is (partly) closed for cars from Wednesday 17.00. The closed streets are marked in red.

Places for spectators at the opening concert
In view of the expected crowds, visitors are advised to be present in time. Visitors can view the opening from the Geeuwkade and from the water. The Lemmerweg and the IJlsterkade are reserved for the participants at At the Watergate. The concert can also be followed via four large LED screens in the city center. Locations: Martiniplein, Boschplein, Hoogend and the Marktstraat. Visitors who can not swim are advised not to stand too close to the frame. There are no toilet facilities available.

Boats for spectators at the opening concert
Smaller boats such as barges and sloops are allowed from 19.00 to lie in the chamber. The Royal Watersportvereniging Sneek (KWS) is present for the necessary guidance. The Kolk can only be accessed via water from De Geeuw and the Stadsgracht. The Westersingel is closed for boats and full is really full.



Own transport (car)

There are several parking lots where you can park. Some parking lots are within walking distance of the town centre. For the specially equipped parking areas for this event, there’s a shuttle bus (€ 1.00 per ride) that runs to the visitors to the city. The Martini square is not available. There are parking spaces created by the organisation on the South as Sneek/City South ring road and overflow.


Public transport (train/bus)  

Visit Sneek, if possible, with public transport. From the station the town centre is within walking distance.

On the drive will be placed even if a podium which is part of the total programming. So will be directly from the station in the festival.



There are several bicycle parkings created with fences. These are at various locations along the Prins Hendrikkade.

Spend the night

It is a daunting task in order to House 6000 participants in Sneek and the surrounding area, for this includes 3 schools temporarily set up as ' pop up hostel '. You, as a visitor would also like to spend a night in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, that has become quite tricky. Thankfully we partnered with Sneek op maat.
