The Symphony Orchestra of the Music School of the City of Iserlohn: Vita and Repertoire for Holland 2018Vita: The Symphony Orchestra of the Music School of the City of Iserlohn is the largest ensemble of the music school and highest stage of ensemble work with 60 to 70 members and includes alla traditional orchestral instruments (strings, wind instruments and percussion instruments). Students between the ages of 12 and 20 have previously gained experience in the Vororchester, Mittelstufenorchester or other ensembles. The repertoire consists of baroque, classical, romantic and moderately modern compositions, with an added emphasis on film music and modern arrangements of recent American tradition. As a permanent member, some instrumentalists and orchestras with voice rehearsals and other accompanying mentoring also provide a remarkable level of performance that is excelled in the region. Under the direction of music school director Paul Breidenstein, the symphony orchestra performs two half-yearly concerts and other performances every year. For decades, it has been an integral part of the final concert of the annual "International Autumn Days of Music" and was the venue for outstanding soloists such as Ruggiero Ricci, Igor Oistrakh and Guy Braunstein (violin), Boris Pergamenschikow and David Geringas (cello), Leon Fleisher and Bruno Leonardo Gelber (piano ), Peter Damm and Radek Baboràk (Horn), Reinhold Friedrich (trumpet) and many others as orchestra. Highlights of the Symphony Orchestra are concert tours to other European countries, especially the European Youth Music Festivals, since 2007 it has been one of only a few large orchestras represent our country: 2007 in Hungary, 2009 in Austria, 2012 in Italy and 2016 in the Spanish Basque Country and 2014 in the Hungarian twin city. On special occasions, the symphony orchestra will be increased to up to 350 contributors: to found its own support foundation with Federal Minister of the Interior Otto Schily in 2005, too m Founding birthday 2010 and the 50th anniversary of the music school 2012.So, it is possible again and again to bring the fascination of playing music together to an even larger part of the music students and to enable a participation in major musical events and experiences.
