Group of young lacemakers
Bobbin lace making developed in eastern Bohemia following the tradition of folk production in the foothills of Orlické hory (Eagle Mountains). The teaching of hand – made bobbin lace started in the school the designer Marie Poludová in 1990. The contemporary teacher Pavla Trojanová is her pupil. She teaches every year about 30 girls and young women between 7 till 19 years. The teaching includes not only lace technique, but also own designing and free creation. Our lacemakers organise every year the exbitions and meetings of lacemakers from different parts of Czech republic. Our crew in Sneek will contain two adult teachers and three pupils. They will wear czech national costumes and would like to be present at the stage or near of stage during the concerts. They are flexible, need not any tool except chairs. They can change the place of operation very easy. The lacemakers will demonstrate the lace-making and also a few completed works.
